The players say a sencence you repeat it inmediately. If there are some unknown words for you, you may just skip them and you found you can understand part of the meaning of the sencence. It doesn't matter if you can't eventually understand the entire sentence, after you hear it and speak it. It won't affect your comprehension of the entire paragraph or article.
