The first time I met her, I was going upstairs. I said hello to her in Chinese because she appeared all of a sudden and I had no time to compose an English sentence in my mind.

The second time I met her, I saw she was opening the lock of her electric bike. In my hand were two sheet of English exam paper for the homework of this holiday, and a pen. She asked me "Don't you sleep at noon?" in Chinese. I answered "I just take this paper ...." (I forgot, sorry), in ENGLISH! Then I said good bye to her.
When I was speaking English for the first time to my English teacher, I didn't feel nervous. Because in my opinion, there was no reason for me to be nervous. Since I could speak English a bit fluently, I should be very proud of myself. I should be happy rather than be nervous.

When I spoke English, the English teacher was very happy and smiled. Although when she was replying, she got stuck in the last word for a few seconds...

Even if what I say is grammatically incorrect or not so interesting, it does not matter. The most important thing is that I shouldn't feel very nervous when facing people. Instead, I should be very proud of myself because I can speak English.

There were a few questions that occurred to me but I didn't asked her at the moment: Is that your electric bike? What were you doing in the teaching building? Were you having lunch?

Another way to avoid nervousness is to think that you are showing off your English skills to your friends and looking down on them.
