並不是更喜歡去莫納什，而是這兩所學校的分數線差得很多。本地人上墨爾本大學競爭是很激烈的，但是對於留學生來說，申請墨爾本大學並不是遙不可及的。留學生申請澳洲大學，只需要均分和英語成績，雖然墨爾本大學要求比較多，但也不是說很難達到。
就好像我們中國學生，考全國TOP5的學校很難，但是外國學生申請我們國家這些TOP5的學校並不是很難，雖然也有一點門檻。
墨大每個專業都有自己的花式錄取標準：有分C9/Tier1, 有分985/211；有些只看專業課，有些看最後兩年；有些看GRE/GMAT/LSAT /TACT，有些只要PS。
澳洲留學申請評估

商學院對C9比較Friendly：80的均分要求比ANU低，跟悉尼大學持平。
不收雙非的專業：Marketing Communication等，競爭低，Offer快。
英國本科院校屬於Russell Group
的，錄取標準也較低。
托福/PTE收得低：去墨爾本大學的真心不建議啃雅思。
院系分開審核：Technically你可以同時拿兩個Offer。Preference裡面建議填兩個不同系的專業，這樣被錄取的幾率高。
申請速度快的Faculty：IT(包括Information System)，建築(拒得也快)，其次Engineering。考慮到墨爾本大學的申請速度，建議儘可能在Preference裡面填一個快的系，比如IT下面的IS就跟商科比較沾邊，也有機會通過ACS評估移民。
IT不僅快要求還低：只要學過一門Programming就行，一門都沒有的還可以走Information System。C9-80%，其他985-85%，211-90%，雙非-不接受申請。
Teaching巨慢：需要做TACT, 做不好會被拒。
雖然墨爾本大學的錄取要求相對於其他澳洲大學來說比較多，但也不算特別難，而且很多專業只需要均分和英語成績。
墨爾本大學本科申請不接受中國高考成績，所以進入墨爾本大學只能通過其預科，或者本轉本，但是其預科的申請要求也不算高。
下面介紹一下墨爾本大學的錄取要求：
本科錄取
1.墨大預科：通過Trinity College
(三一學院) Foundation Program進入墨大本科。錄取要求：完成高二，最好五門成績均分超過80%，雅思5.5，單項不低於5，或同等水平。
2.本科直錄：墨大不接受中國高考直接申請，本科直錄需要完成至少一年以上的大學本科方可申請。錄取標準：
專業方面選擇較少，常見的工程、法律、教育、建築等專業均不開設本科課程；
如果部分課程在國內已經學過，可以申請學分減免；
英文要求：雅思6.5，單項不低於6或同等水平的托福/PTE；未達標的同學可以通過語言直升班UMELBP入讀。碩士錄取

高考直錄：大多數專業在高考滿分的60-70%之間。
